Bombings in D.I.Khan and Wah Cantt.

August 22, 2008 2 comments

To All The Pakistanis,

Dear All, Please take some time from your busy schedules and pray for the ones who lost their lives in bomb blasts in Dera Ismael Khan and Wah Catt.. These (more than 140+ dead in both blasts) are the great martyrs and common heroes who have become victim of this blind animalism. May their souls rest in peace, and their relatives attain patience. These incidents are in fact really shameful, painful and pathetic.

We as a nation should declare it as National Mourning and show condolence in any way possible. I really pray that this suicide bombing ends now in Pakistan.

Pervez Musharraf Resigns as President of Pakistan

So finally Pervez Musharraf has resigned as President of Pakistan (on 18th August, 2008). He has indeed once again proven himself intelligent than others, the likes of, current in government.

I liked him personally as a person and I have the right to. According to me he is very brave, not a looter to as much extent as like all others in politics and a very very witty person but he made wrong decissions and acts(judges, lal masjid and emergnecy). His only problem(in politics) was he was an army man and I admit that he came to power in wrong way. But he was much better than what the nation has seen in democracy ( big time looters, criminals […]).

Some thing was once written about Ayub Khan that (in urdu: Unke shaksiyat chanaar kay drakht kee tarah hoobsoorat thee but girtay wakat uskaa tanaaa hassa khokhla ho chuka thaa..) this exactly applies to Musharraf as well. Last year(s) of his regime were full of turbulence and wrong decissions due to whatever reasons, and this is the cause of major downfall of him. And he should have resigned to avoid confrontation and he finally did again proving himself better. Another great thing he has done is appointment of Gen. Ashfaque Kyani as Army Chief, who himself sounds to be a savvy in the field and a very better person.

His final address to nation was awesome and great and look the way the nincompoop in assembly speaks, shouts and bark and just compare it with his serene and composed address the difference will be all clear.

For me he was, is and will be a good person, though his wrongs are also bigger but still…:)

Regards,

AoA,

To all the Pakistanis in Pakistan and outside so it’s 14th August here and “Happy Independence Day” (but we should celebrate it on 27th Ramadan also).

Just one line to you all, don’t celebrate it as just another day, but just think that it’s only us and us who can make ourselves and this country successful and that is by becoming honest to at-least ourselves :).

May Pakistan and Pakistanis prosper, progress and excel and that day is destined to come.

Regards,

Suicide Bomb Blast in Lahore

August 13, 2008 Leave a comment

Right now it’s 2.00 A.M in the night and I am sitting calmly and safely in my home. But I am continuously thinking about those who have just lost their lives and are wounded in a bomb blast in Lahore. Yes on this eve of Independance day of Pakistan, the great city Lahore was struck with terrorism. This time it(suicide bomb attack) was near my home, in one of the most famous market of Lahore in Allama Iqbal Town – The Moon Market (Dubai Chawk). It happened around 11.10 P.M and I was in a local market near by. Many people heard the blast. It was planned for the main police station of Allama Iqbal Town in Dubai Chawk. There was a main mosque near by, the main police station, the technical board of education, the polytechnic institute, the moon market, dozens of restaurants, and hundreds of stalls of eatables and shops. The moon market is a symbol of life and ecstasy in Iqbal Town, it’s light lit, people filled, but now it’s all dark there, all very grim and dark!

So far seven (7) people have been confirmed dead, and more than twenty (20) injured out of whom, 2 are criticial. I am feeling very very sad and sorry for the ones effected, by alas I and we couldn’t do much for them. No words can suffice the pain they had/have to bear, but…

I am still wondering, it’s one of the most major area of Iqbal Town, and I have been there waiting for buses and wagons hundreds of time as it is a major bus stop also. I have been to the market many times. There is a flower seller near by, and now his stall was all filled with blood, there is an ice seller his stall is also blood stained, ahh… I can’t write any more..

I don’t know what might be the future of suicide bombing, but just imagine what kind of people have died, policemen, beggars, ice sellars, hawakers, locals passing by..all innocent, simple, poor and great common people. This always happens. Come on suicide attackers, these people are innocent, they have done no wrong, they are common Pakistani and they may be in more trouble and misery than you…why are you doing this, why?
